There was a log cabin style restaurant not far from me near the ILL/Wis state line that had old guns every were you looked on the walls. There must have been 20 or more on the walls and in the back room was another bunch of them. I was able to talk the owner out of two 1863 Springfield muskets and a 1873 Springfield carbine for a very reasonable price, Ray
Antique firearms do turn up in unexpected places. Many years ago we stopped at a motel someplace in Oregon, that had a gun room in the back of the lobby, that as I recall were for sale. I identified several nice Civil War rifled muskets cal.-.58 among the many long arms in the racks, that I remember being priced at $35.00 each.
Restaurant south of San Diego (no not that far south) had on display rifles, shotguns, and pistols marked to Wells Fargo & Co. One Colt M1873 pistol on display, with the oddest patina, had been recovered from a bucket of molasses.
