Just a bit of clarity the Sherman I thought they were powered by a Lycoming aero engine and the high octane fuel was one of the main reasons it was so vulnerable to fires, I was trying to fathom why the leaders would send men into battle with a weapon they knew was inferior (75mm version) what was a quip the troops made about Patton "Our Blood""His Guts" correct me if I am wrong as your never to old to learn

Watched the vid on the Shermans development interesting he says that there were only 4 instances of a Tiger V's Sherman encounter as apparently all the other German AFV's were being mis-identified as Tigers interesting vid anyway.
