CINDERS, your father was a HERO! I was the 'Crew Chief' of my local group for over ten years. We had to work a LOT on the engines etc, but she was a GREAT aircraft!!
We were flying IFR here and rain dripping inside. Our R4D is thee ONLY aircraft in the CAF that may IFR.

I've ridden in dozens of 'Daks' back in the day and have been fortunate enough to have flown two (from the right seat). It will always be the greatest transport aircraft ever made as far as I am concerned.
