No, that's not the one you normally see on NPM carbines. However, they could have had another supplier for type two barrel bands or got some integrated through another manufacturer. I know they got some type one or twos from Inland during this time frame. Does the front sight look as though it's been off of the muzzle? That could tell a lot about your issue.
I was just looking at my '45 Inland and it's has that hole between the top 2 weld scars and it's a T3 with the Bayonet Lug.
Front Sight looks like it's Never been off.
I agree with Del, I have seen several original late NPM and the typical type 2 band found on them is not like the one in your pictures.
Yep, When John mentioned that I saw them in Harrison's Book with the lower screw hole on them and also said No Markings. Maybe some were integrated late to NPM like he mentioned. I'm just glad it's not a T3. The Barrel looks like it never had a T3 on it. The Sear is Marked SW-N. I've seen a couple of them without the dash just SWN. Some NPM Sears I've also seen had some discoloration on them. I have to go back and find them so I can copy the address and post it. Maybe they were fake.
