Never seen one in person - well over 100 No4Ts in my hands...

only (ever) seen photos of 1 on the internet, except for a couple done obviously wrong, by grinding on the leaf itself..

I believe it was not very common in service, or a very late addition.

Mine also has no leaf sight. I have managed to find a 'correct' one with the battle-sight milled off to complete the rifle, but am not sure if I will fit it. It is so much easier inserting and removing the bolt on the firing point without having to remove the scope first.

Why do you HAVE to remove the bolt on the firing point I'm bound to ask?

I suppose I don't have to, firearms can be cleared on or off the firing point with a breech flag. I just prefer to remove the bolt and magazine to show 'clear.' I don't plan to shoot it without the scope so will keep the rear-sight for completeness rather than fitting it.

I've heard penetrating fluids can help loosen stuck screws as well.
