Am a litte bit fuzzled. I started this thread about an AAG marked scant stock. Thought all scant stocks were of WWII vintage? If that is wrong when did scant stock production start? Thought they were all made for field replacement in WWII.

Go back and read my last posting. :bash: I stated that AAG dated from the WWII period. And that's entirely consistent with it appearing in a scant stock. Scant stock production started in 1942 and, except for '03-A4's, scant stocks were indeed used as replacements.
