Well there you go learned something today, here is another from spares that fits the bill where the trigger guard screw front goes through running a straight edge along the mag rails it dips at that point @2mm where the screw goes through so there we go interesting it is good to learn this now I know which guard goes with which rifle.
In 1919 it was a MkIII.... As far as the normal vs bent... here's ten that look like the OP's...

Are we saying that the top face of the trigger guard for the SMLE, No1 MKIII, should not be flat then? Surely if this is the case then, when the front screw is tightened the rear of the guard would be forced downwards?

If Buster95 is able to provide another picture, please, in the other plane looking at the front of the trigger guard, it should answer the question of whether there is also some twist to the front of the trigger guard.
