No, I was up there in 1975, January I think...this bayonet was bought from another soldier here in Canada about 2004... I did get an M7 way back then though. Don't know where that got to.
M9 and M7 bayonets are collectable. It seems you get them and put them in a box because they store
better than guns. M9s used to be easy to get surplus, from used to new. Then it was decided that they
can't be shipped out of the US. So my collection of M9s is done. Back to M7s and Grand bayonets.
Have to try Europe for Dutch or the Australian M9s.
I'm happy with just the one. I've never gotten into collecting all the variations of things unless they are very cheap. My exception to this is that I try to get one bayonet for every rifle I have and in doing that I will try to get different manufacturers, etc.
The best deal was on m7s from Sarco back in the day. National Guard sold off some excellent condition
ones. Sarco had a great deal when you bought 10 or more.
