I actually just stored ammunitioin in the clips hoping maybe that will have an effect (but I don't understand setting them against a 4x4?). I do make sure the ammunition is properly stacked or it all doesn't fit well in the clip without being staggered. I was planning on replacing the spring first as it is the cheapest option to do first.Quote:

You haven't said if the clips have a thick parkerizing coat or not. The Greek black clips can be an issue. Parkerizing changes the outside thickness. Most of my clips are less than new.

OK. What ammunition are you using HXP Lake City etc? If you are using older surplus ammo in the newer enblocs for example the Italian made the extractor cuts are different and will effect loading your enblocs. The picture illustrates what I'm talking about
I am using a belt of surplus Korean War ammunition for .30 cal MGs. So the italian made one might interfer by being to small around the brass?Quote:

Its usually either foreign enblocs, bad clip latch spring or worn bullet guide
Since it is happening with all your enblocs we can rule those out
Pull the clip latch spring and slightly stretch it ,reinstall and fire rifle. If problems go away replace the spring.
If problem still exists you need to measure the lobe on the bullet guide with a micrometer
If lobe is under 0.175 replace it
If you need them I have USGI clip latch springs and bullet guides for sale

Correct. I had HXP 65 loaded into a JMO clip no bueno, difficult to load etc. Loaded HXP 78 into the same clip worked fine.Quote:
