Like the others say, that's not needed. A liquid strip and the worst I use after is scotchbrite and the oil I'm finishing with. Leaves it about at military finish.

Thats the one I used Aragorn CITRISTRIP just could not remember its name it works very well indeed

That's interesting; when you say "the bolt lug" what part are you referring to, not the locking lugs I assume?
