I would agree with Clarkie, thread 10, line 5 above. All of the Fazakerley classified/controlled stock went to store at Enfield where it lay unloved - and obsolete for years. Odds and sods were used as and when needed, such as the L39 project and for the proposed L8 and all that. I would imagine that when Enfield was closed and sold off, all of the remains were sold off prior to transfer of the remaining manufacturing plant to Nottingham

But not as good as the competitor.............
Quite, can't prove it, but I have a strong hunch my early (no S/N) MP5 might have been seperated from the Pattern Room too at about the same time.Quote:
