I have shot mine but not a lot. When I do it's usually with these reloads.

Mine is Navy marked with the arrow on top strap and also has Australian markings. For now it has a 22 single shot adapter inserted and I plink beer cans in the back yard with it. Fun guns. Shame you can't shoot yours.
Bruce, Its a bit of a catch 22, If I change the status at a later date I can shoot it, but then it has to be kept and shot at a designated club, IIRC at present around 11 in the UK. Obvious there are storage costs etc to consider too, As Mine will be part of a collection it will be kept at home.
So just a what if situation. You drive far, far into the country. Let's say you know someone who has a huge farm. You have a box of shells and you pop a rounds into a dirt bank. No one is around to see or hear. But what's the punishment if caught?
Probably 5 years at Her Majesty's Pleasure..... its all done on trust regarding the collecting and permission is required to transport it etc, it would certainly rock the boat for other collectors too and would not like to be the most hated ex collector,.Quote:

Nothing worse than being pipped at the post....... sometimes very good for the seller though, when looking for spares for my Matchless on ebay, sometimes things I've seen go for well over the price, normally job lots, and the fact I only need one part I have to calculate the value of the other bits...... then the times I put a hefty max bid on and win the items for peanuts.......
Anyway back to the Webley, the link below has some good info, also showing the Semi Autos they produced. I'd also keep a lookout for a S&W in .455, ( I'm looking for one this side of the pond) also a 1911 in .455 ....... (think I'll need to start selling the .22 collection for the 1911)

Why not apply for Section 7.3 use? There is a Heritage Centre in Manchester where you can store your pistol collection.
May do at a later date Robert, but happy with Sec 7.1 for time being, in fact just got my Fac back today, so arranging to go and pick it up.....
