That paint should come away with a rag and acetone, keep it clear of the handle though...very careful.

Thanks all. I have 6 weeks home to work on it. Suggestions on finish if I get it off. Leave it and just oil it? Blue iT? Or paint it?

You can probably do a good job of cold blue if you prep it right and use a good blue.

You may find it still has the parkerizing under it. :thup: - Bob

Agreed, probably. This was just a stop gap. Just a touch up.
