I've been wanting 4 X Thompson drum 50 rnd mags for a long time but also not wishing to pay the £500 each that the genuine article goes for. The reason that I need 4 is because my replica transit chest that I have been slowly making takes 3 and I would also like to fit a drum mag to my U.K. deactivated Thompson but this is a later deac so has a welded bolt. I only need these for show/display purposes because it's a deac and so the mags don't need to be fully working, only look the part. I recently found the perfect solution to my needs in the form of "Denix replica Thompson drum mags" which certainly look the part but are non working and are priced at about £25 each which seems like an an excellent price to me. There are no internals to these Denex drum mags. The replica mags fit perfectly in my transit chest and the one that I will display with the deac will need some slight adjustments to the sides and the top because of the welded bolt. I wouldn't wish to butcher a £500 original mag but who cares about a £25 replica mag having the top slightly damaged?
