Peter, yeah it is a pretty dodgy thing I've done here, but it seemed not bad at the time. Its a mismatched cut to bits gun anyway, so no real loss. I only found your guide to repairing draws after starting this whole shebang. I guess I could experiment with the copper blocks compared to the hard wood patches. Only reason I said the copper blocks were better is because to bring them tighter with the receiver is a much easier job.
Cinders, Nah no splits or bends. Just a bit too much sanding in the wrong places on my behalf.
