I also had a look at the pics of his guns...I must say that although they look good I do prefer the way they come new. I've never seen nicer wood on anything other than high grade furniture, can't imagine covering it up.Quote:

I know there are like a lot of collectors out there who have a bunch of safe queens in their gun lockers and sometimes take them out to shoot on a sunny day but this ain't one of em. Re the politics left of centre?? For your information it was the Right Wing most conservative modern day Government in Australia that introduced the new gun laws, our PM you should know him cause he is George Bush's biggest admirer he is the Prime Minister John Howard. I feel it is a real shame that the M10 was never widely released in the US and not likely to be cause in reality I actually think for day to day hunting, shooting, survival and feral critter control it is a far more practical and useful gun than the Ar's and AK clones and I'm sure that if US shooters had the opportunity to own them they would have found this out.

I'm sorry - I really didn't mean to offend you! I don't think you M10 looks bad, I just prefer wood personally. I realize you have your own motivations to paint your rifle and that's fine - our differences make us interesting to each other ;)
Yes, I know duracoat - I put it on Remington Express shotguns to make them handle wet weather without rusting :)
I live in Canada, but the AR-15 is available everywhere in Norht American except for amybe Mexico? the AR-15 is not an assault rifle as it is not select fire like an M16. It's a restricted weapon in Canada meaning you cannot hunt with it, but you can use it at ranges no problem.
As for the politics of Australia, well, it's a bit off topic here and I should not have mentioned it so again I apologize. I do realize the Howard gov't landed your undesireable gun laws on sportsmen in your country and for that I sympathize. That being said, I hear Oz is a Wonderful place to live. Your B2 is blued? I assumed they all came parkerized like the Mk4.
Notice much difference in accuracy between the two models?

They are high quality rifles and I still own one.
AFAIK the M-10 never made it to the USA. I have one of the carbines in 7.62x39, and the stock on it would befit a $5,000 hunting rifle. Buffalo hide sling, in the old USA leather style. Very coarse, rough leather. It has a pitcaninny rail that came with it that can be put on. There were two on the rack when I got mine. Should have bought both. Ah well........

I've just snagged a B1 (7.62 NATO) Sporter in near mint condition, so the documentation to go with it is a bonus. I was already doing well on the $ front with the purchase, so I'm feeling a bit chuffed that Cantom was so helpful.
