The comment does accurately describe that the auto-loader's carousel location beneath the turret floor is the main reason the T-72's turret comes off like it does. There is a classic video of a live fire test of the Javelin missile against a full loaded T-72. About 37 seconds in you here one of test crew comment, "Did you see how high that turret went?"

The first one, the 1989 Spartan is an excellent vehicle.
They have a 4.2L 6 cylinder Jaguar petrol engine and go like stink!
I remember watching one being chased by two Chieftans in Germany on exercise. It turned onto the road and down into a cul-de-sac and did a 360 before leaving via the front gardens of the houses, leaving the tanks floundering at the entrance.
You could hear the Spartan crew laughing over the roar of the engine.
The Damcon teams no doubt ended up paying for new gardens too!
(They changed the engines later for 5.9L Cummins diesels)
