Well makes sense a 14" would be a little smaller - The BL 14-inch Mk VII naval gun was a breech loading (BL) gun designed for the battleships of the Royal Navy in the late 1930s. This gun armed the King George V-class battleships during the Second World War.
The King George the V were a bit different having a quad gunned "A" 14" turret and a twin "B" turret followed at the stern by another quad mounted "C" 14" turret the other two ships that were a bit different are the Rodney & Nelson having all their main armament in 3 turrets in the forward 2/3rds of the battleship.

We are all barking up the wrong tree. It has been identified by my Facebook group as a Ogive for MX80 series GP bombs. These come in three types, solid round, conical and ogive. Designation for the cap is MXU-735 and the type /a. /ab etc.
Guy apparently has at least one bomb to go with it.
Concrete busting tip.

The guy has three of the caps of two different types and a 500 lb bomb and a 1000 lb bomb

I must admit to being a little disappointed it isn't a Battleship round. I think that would be more interesting to have but it is still nice to know exactly what it is.

Must say having a cap like that is impressive enough, even without the bomb.

As its the tip off the AP bomb then it would certainly be very tough steel I'd have it among my bits and bobs a good conversation piece as you don't see many of them at all.
