There are a few more things you should check for. Check the bottom of the stock near the butt swivel for a number. Check the right side for a bolt handle relief. I don’t believe it’s for an A4 but would have been for a 1903A1 or an A1 National Match.

John, note my reply. I believe you need to recheck your facts. An A3 receiver assembly would not fit to this stock. Not there is no A3 handguard ring inlet groove. Such C-Stocks were not produced after 1939 and certainly not in '41 & '42 and certainly not for a RA M1903.
The handguard is by all appearance an interwar, but I agree it is hard to tell between the interwar type 6 (per Harrison) and the Remington M1903 handguard, especially with the few pics provided.

Took it out of the safe, no numbers anywhere also no bolt handle relief. Having trouble posting additional pictures.

Here are some photos of my C stock, it is for the 1903A1 only and not altered for the 1903A3
and there is an S stamp in the cut off recess too.
It also has faint but readable rebuild markings RA-P and GM-KAttachment 138121Attachment 138122Attachment 138123
Does your stock have a drawing number or any other markings stamped on the bottom near the butt swivel? Please advise.

There are no drawing numbers nor serial number behind the pistol grip.
