I think it's as early as it gets. I was under the impression this is a MAC SOG advisor in '64 before the rush to get over there.

I would bet those ARVN troops have brand new IHC M1 rifles too, the favorite gift to the third world armies and best way to get those IHC rifles out of the US system.

I understand Sadam had a couple M1 rifles that he used with his boys for hunting hares...bet they were some of the give aways.
