The little paperback book with the story next Andy?
Thanks for all the kind words. Im still working out alot of bugs, always something. Today I lost all gears but 2nd. After pulling of the top shifter plate the shifter levers were misaligned a smidge. Works again but haven't put it back together yet, tonight into shop manuals to see if i can prevent this from future occurrences. This was new in a new crate tranny that was installed just before I took over the project. Also it ran fine a few days ago when last parked.
Stars and ord numbers stencils should be a few weeks, Ordered from rick larson and hes behind because of holidays lol
As usual more pics coming, and after it is all done, there will always be updates of events etc
Andy
Well words are not enough to convey what you have achieved and well worth kicking back and writing a book on the adventure (Always are) as you can gather from the forumers it is unanimous in our appreciation of a true labour and endeavor that no $ value can be put on.
I wont rabbit on but I have just one question, I see they have a long and short axled front drive do they suffer from the same quirk that the Land Rovers suffered and tended to snap the long axle, these were from the 186ci Holden red motor conversions as the original motor was a rice pudding affair (Sorry Peter I do like the old Landies).
I put you up there with the skills of those others in Canada that are restoring the second Canadian Lancaster
out of curiosity - what are the floorboard slot blanks for on the passenger side?
Great resto Andy - very impressed :)
Very Very Nice!!!! I'm envious for sure.
Never seen or heard of front drive axle issues, But it was a NOS unit from what i was told so i was lucky not to have to break it open
