Hello all. Nice to join you  hehehe this face is ace, but I was looking for a smile :)
I've recently become rather addicted to guns and shooting. I have two rifles - .22 calibre. One being a 10/22 ruger and the other a Brno - bolt.
I thought I'd join this site because I've stumbled across and enfield, which I believe to be some form of No. 4 and I'm not sure I can resist it. So, with the prospect of soon being a bonefide owner I thought I might have a read about and learn some stuff. Plus it's always nice to talk to people of similar interests.
Tootles.

I am a new member and am glad to have found such a resource with so many knowledgable and friendly people. I've been collecting for a while - mostly WWII Axis and Allies rifles, as well as U.S. martial arms and Former Soviet States stuff. I usually stick to a representative piece and try to restoire it as much as I can with parts appropriate to its MFG period. It took me 19 years just to get my Winchester M1 Carbine all Winchester of the late variety. The internet has revolutionized parts appropriation for us, but too much information about contracty parts, etc., may be lost in history.
Well, glad to be on board.
Regards to all,
Bulldoug

Hi BullDoug !!
I to enjoy M1's. In the uk they are banned without a sect. 5 licence so they are not seen very often !
Welcome on board!

Hi Folks,
I wouldn't class myself as a hard core collector, but one of my prized possessions is a early Faz. No. 5 that I've had for over 20 years.:super:
I've recently acquired an SSA No.1 Mk3* in really nice shape.
Currently hanging out in the M14 forums while I await the arrival of a Poly M305:D
Regards,
Dave

I recieved my first garand July 2009, most recently came across a 513-T us property remington 22lr. This thing just caught my eye. The red field peep sight and tubeular front sight just give this heavy bugger a good look.
I am also in need of some parts. I would like to get as close to the original front sights as possible.:D

Just purchased my first M1. Does anyone have any "good" pics of exactly where to lube this rifle.
The owners manual pics are so poor, I can't understand it!
Thanks much

I just joined to see if anyone out there has information on the Springfield M1922 M2 -- I managed to upload one photo but couldn't upload any more. seems that two or more photos exceeds limits...

Quick Intro
I am a USAF retiree who wasn't allowed to handle many firearms. After retiring I got serious and now own, as they say, more firearms then I need and less then I want.
My military collection consists of two Enfields (No. 4, Mk 1), one completely stock w/bayonet and one sporterized by someone other than me. A Llama and Star in 9mm Largo and until recently a match M1 Garand that I presented to a young Marine Sgt via the M1s for Vets program.
My sporterized Enfield has a piece of brass in the chamber that needs to be removed (leaves an ugly dent in fired brass). I am looking for a 303 British reamer to borrow/rent for a couple of days to remove it. D...m thing is way back on the shoulder of the chamber and I have not figured an elegant way to remove it.
