Hello all! I have been collecting service rifles for about 10 years and look forward to enjoying this forum.
Howdy all!!
Addicted collector/shooter of Milsurp weapons.. C and R license holder, and I've even had the fortune of being selected for a BATFE agent to inspect me in the past.. All went with flying colors, and was also very informative for me..
Started out collecting less expensive milsurp stuff, but have sorta switched direction and now have gone the US military direction, with various Garands, Carbines, and 03A3's..
Looking forward to spending time here!!
I was referred to this forum by my friend John Beard. I am his Letter Carrier and he has really helped me out in my milsurp collecting, much to the detriment of my bank account! Happy Tday to y'all!:)
Good Afternoon All - wish I had found this forum a while ago , great people and very very helpful , collect lee enfileds ( not has many as I wish , but ? )
Hello, I've been fascinated with the engineering, crafting and employment of all kinds of weapons for most of my life...crossbows, cannon, mortars, knives, side arms, etc. I currently have two project weapons a Webley VI Naval revolver and what appears to be a Czech VZ24 made under Romanian contract. It is mostly a matched set (barrel, stock, bolt) but only the stock has the Copsa Mica stamp.
I look forward to learning more about my VZ24 from y'all and restoring it to it's firing condition when issued.
It was ordered as theoretically a 'very good' condition firearm...but after getting the cosmoline out of the barrel, firing a few rounds and cleaning it...the lands and grooves are pretty sharp but it's badly pitted. Otherwise, it appears to be a very nice example of the weapon.
I'd like to configure it and have it shoot with the original accuracy as a sniper weapon. Anyone ever gone to the trouble of re-sleeving or putting a new barrel on one of these weapons?
Love collecting, shooting and reloading for WWII firearms. Wish I were more computer literate but I've already found a lot of valuable info. Nice to be aboard.
I'm new to the forum. I've been collecting military firearms since Oct. 25, 1988 with the purchase of my first M1 Garand. I just recently got lucky and located a Mauser made Luger at a local shop and it got me interested in searching for more information. Take good care, hope to hear from you all soon.

Hi everybody. I just joined up. Finally I am enjoying the freedom to have and use firearms that I always craved for and was denied in my country of origin, Cuba.
I thank and congratulate every one of you for keeping alive and well the Second Amendment.
Thanks a bunch!

I've been a collector and Garand specialist collector since '95 . Just looked at Bob Womack's "5.4 mil Springfield Garand" . I've never seen such a low serial number (#5478) . Can someone tell me what is with the strange serial number? I have had several Springfield Garands , but the serial numbers were all in the millions . I have Winchesters with numbers in the millions that saw service in the second war. What is with the strange number ?
