Hi everybody-New member from N.C.
Newby to the forum as of today. I am ex- Marine who spent alot of time with the M14. Been looking for the real mcoy, but when they are found, just too pricey( especially sniper type ). Just purchased the next best rifle, Mas 49/56, sniper rifle, France answer to the US M 14. Interested to hear from anyone who has this rifle to exchange info. Rifle is complete with all accessories, including cleaning kit, night site unit, bayonet, extra mag, owner manual, integral grenade launcher and is a French arsenal rebuild. Rifle not fired since the rebuild
Searched for French rifle forum-site hear but did not see any listed.
Thanks
New member here. I have been collecting US and British militaria since I was a kid in the late 1960's, when I got a US M1910 canteen and cover. My first rifle was a 1903A1, barrel date 10-18, but with a half C stock. Very comfortable to shoot! I have since added more rifles, handguns, and smoothbores in both smokeless and black powder, with lots of webbing and clothing to go with them.
Cheers!

Hello Everyone; I am a new member with a few years of owning and some collecting under my belt. I started in the mid 70's but with a job as a flat rate B.C. government mechanic all I could do was get rid of my frustrations at the range. My main interests are smallbore & bigbore target and it covers AR platform rifles , Enfield DCRA , low # Sportco DCRA , Russian MU-12 , 52B and C's, almost anything with a fat barrel, scope and or target sights. I reside in the Okanagan Valley in B.C.and enjoy my 47 Chev street rod ,big block vintage short box GMC truck and my Harley M.C. I have been attending the Firearm shows as a vendor for the last 12 years or so, and always feel that I am amongst my people when I'm there ! At 61 years young and buggered up knees from being on cold floors for the last 41 years am beginning to feel there may be a new era in my life. I have a wonderfull machine shop with 2 metal lathes and 2 milling machines and have been known to turn out some fairly acceptable work. I keep telling myself it was to keep myself busy when I retired but it recieves fairly heavy use as of now.I have a variance of aliases and answer to DOC, Rambo and ROD-ON .My wife has called me a few names, but I try not to answer to them !
Hi everyone, new member from australia.

Hello to all,
Been "lurking" for quite some time but have'nt posted yet. I've been an active collector for almost 50 years. My present collection is limited to US military firearms, particularily M1 Garands, but have past experience with German,Japanese,British and Russian/Soviet weaponry and equipment.
Hello. I have long been interested in former military weapons, but am by no means a high dollar collector. My current interest is in Mosin-Nagant rifles, with particular focus on the Finnish M 39. I am proud to have worn the "Green Beanie" in the late 1960's, following my father who was a Ranger in WWII. One of My son's is a Platoon Sergeant with the Rangers at Ft Lewis. If I had the money I would be looking for an affordable Garand M1... but for now will be happy with my Mosin Nagant collection.
I have been involved in weapon design for number of years. Interested in experimental weapons and ammunition. Also like fuses. I look forward to joining in the postings.
I'm a newbie, but been collecting over 50 years. Love 1903's and Variations and Garands. Have Garand Gauges still in use too. Not as active as once was due to various and sundry health issues. Member of GCA, Benefactor NRA, Lifer VGCA, local Crosse Creek Gun Club. Former ILA-NRA working volunteer at NRA HQ. Definitely support the 2nd Amendment, and often not politically correct.
Looking for current whereabouts of Master Gunny Sgt, Gus Fisher, who sometimes hangs out at the Richmond VA Gun Show under name of Gus's Garands. He is no longer in Quantico or Mechanicsville......
