I have been collecting for the last 15 years mostly civilian stuff but have become interested lately in the early 1903's and newer milspec items. I have found it fairly difficult to identify 1903's is there a book or someone who can give me a clue. I have seen these things offered for values all over the place and not once has one of the owners been able to validate his value. I.e. is the darn thing correct?:sos:
hello im a new member of this site not sure what im suppose to say but i love military items when i look at my smle i think about the courage of the boys becoming men over night i have a big love for military guns as well as every day guns main motovation for joining this site is the info and knowlege on every screen i click on:thup:
Hi, I am new to the site after getting an Ishapore 2A. I have had some other military guns but this is my first 'real' military gun. If it were up to me I would own several military guns but it is cost prohibitive... but in time I will own as many as possible.
New member from FLA here. Just got interested in Garands and am in the middle of an M40-ish project.
A quick note from the golden state! I have been collecting/shooting WWII rifles and pistols for a while, mostly chasing down that special k98 however I do have a few others, U.S., British, Russian and Finnish. Thanks for the welcome! :super:

I'm a new member here and look forward to taking in all the info the membership has to share as well as sharing my own thoughts and information. I got into militaria back in the 1963 at 7 years old when I purchased some pickups (a piece of shrapnel & a couple of minies) for 50 cents from a shop owner in Harpers Ferry. That lit my flame for US military items, especially Civil War. Started dealing with Turner Kirkland of Dixie Gun Works a few years later when I was 11 as well as Jimmy Hogan who had a large stock of Bannerman remnants at his place in Blue Point, NY. Through him I became fixated on anything Bannerman - catalogs, ephemera, relic displays, first person accounts of the business, as well as "the island."
Today I teach US history to eighth graders and share my love of militaria and historical artifacts with them.
I look forward to being a part of this forum.

Been collecting milsurps since I was old enough to legally buy. All thanks to a couple of grandpa's who collected and passed it on.
Currently after a good M1 Carbine and a S&W Victory Model. In the mean time, I'm loving the resources and videos here.
