Hello everyone. I'm a noon, still learning the M1 Garand. Just received 2 Springfield SG's from CMP and waiting on a M1D and WRA SG from them also. Trying to read and learn all I can. Thanks for this wonderful forum. I've been reading a ton here for a few days. Figured I'm gonna be here for a while to might as well introduce myself. My username is the same as on the CMP forum.
Greetings to everyone from Washington state. Military collector, shooter and wannabe gunsmith. Current project is building a poor man's 1922 M2 Springifled, using a 1903 receiver, M2 bolt and barrel, etc.

I am new to this site today and look forward to comparing notes with all of you. My name is Richard Peterson and I live in N.E. Colorado, having recently retired after selling firearms for 12 years at the Cabela's store in Sidney, Nebraka. I am a gunsmithing graduate from Trinidad State Junior College, was a weapons sergeant with the 5th SFG in VietNam in 1968, have had an FFL for the last 25 years, and now stay busy doing gunsmith work, bird hunting with my two English Setters, and staying active. I enjoy collecting and shooting military weapons, having more of those than I need but not as many as I want. Though I have been in the "game" for many years, I learn something new all the time. Nice to be aboard!
Hi: Been around on other boards. Collecting all sorts of stuff for close to 50 years. I may actually think about selling an item or two in a few years, when the house & garage are too full. CPOBR
