Hi Everyone!
I am new here and want to say thank you for having this site. I have a few weapons that I may be putting up for sale and just want to talk about them and get some information on them. It's hard to sell something if you are lacking information. All I want to do now is go fishing. Hopefully you guys can help a lady out.
Make it a good day, they don't just happen you know.

New guy
Just checking it. I just started collecting a little in the last month, got a Remington 1917 and an Indian Enfield. Interested in all types of military arms but I am going to try to focus on US items first and then branch out from there. Love the site so far!

New Guy
Greetings to All,
I can see that there is a great deal of informed comment on this site that will make owning and perhaps, one day, mastering my CMP Garand a rich experience. I am looking forward to the voyage. All the best, Frank

Hi Everyone,
I am a 30 year old nurse from PA. Never in the military, but love learning amything that I can about American history. I recently found a 1909 RIA Bayonet while cleaning my grandfathers house. Due to his condition he is unable to tell me anything about it. I joined this site to hopefully learn a little more about it. Anyone who could help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks. Have a great day!

New member introduction
Hi Everyone,
I am John from Phoenix. Just stopping in to introduce myself. I am an avid military surplus weapons enthusiast. I especially am interested in WW1/WW2 US military longarms...1903 Springfields, 1917 Enfields, and of course, M1 Garands. The used M1's have seemed to have dried up in the Phoenix area, and I am in search of a decent/affordable one to call my own. If anyone has any leads, I am always interested. I look forward to chatting with you all.

New member intro, and greatly appreciate the knowledge imparted by the members. I am a lifelong shooter, started smallbore in JROTC, and Service Rifle while active duty AF. Shot on Tn All-Guard team a few years and retired from the Tn ANG. Collect, but all are shooters so the collection would not be viewed by many as correct. Most recent addition is an 1873 Springfield. Thanks for being wonderful hosts.

First posting for me. Looking for information on acceptable stock finish for 1942 M91 38 TS Moschetto (carbine). Rifle is in very good condition. Stock has what looks like original finish, a dark stained "shellac" finish. Looks like it was done very quickly. Handling marks show light colored wood where glossy finish has been chipped off. Is this the correct finish for this era?

The rabbit
I choose the name "The Rabbit" based on advice in a book written by Robert Hienlien. "Tunnel in the Sky" was the book, a very good read. I bough my first center fire rifle when I was in High School. It was K31, it cost me $25.00 back in the day. I wish we could get those days back. I like owning and shooting the old battle rifles. They are reliable and accurate and give good service. Most of them are on their 3rd generation of owners, in some cases more. Most of them can be made even more accurate with just a little bit of work. They are accurate, powerful, reliable and most will last another generation or two. Just can't beat them.
