A few years ago Kynamco / Kynoch produced a large production run of 'true' MkVII (except using NC in lieu of cordite). It was a non-boat tail bullet wuth an 'open' base pretty much identcal to the original, even giving very, very similar performace figures.
I magaged to obtain a few cases, but down to the last 'couple of hundred' rounds now.
Please excuse the quality of the sectioning of the bullet - a rusty hacksaw blade, as screwdriver and a hammer were used.
Just as a matter of interest they still produce the MkVI round for big-game hunters.
