They do more damge and they go easy in and easy out. WWII veteran said the problem was that the knife bayonets had often wedged between the rips and they had to step against the enemys chest to get it out. Horrible vision.

It's the same reason criminals are now called "unsavory characters". If I may do a George Carlin impersonation [CARLIN]Because the "Department of Defense" sound so nice... We're defending ourselves.... Where as "THE WAR DEPARTMENT" sounds like "LET'S KICK THEIR A$$"[/CARLIN]
