Yep, just the same thing but this was done at 40 Base Workshop. So yu know a little bit more about your rifle now. It's been to Malaya and been written off there as Ordnance stocks that went to the Far East were very rarely, if ever, returned. They made a one-way trip. There were exceptions such as strategic war materials. Even aircraft and ships were scrapped there but for some reason, beyond my understanding, the big Bedford RL fire engines, Land Rover ambulances and a few other odds and sods were always returned. But the rest...........................
