Well when it comes to "My Favorite" firearm, the best I can do is break it down by catagory. That said for pistols it would be my Walther HP 7.65 cal single action and the ruskie Makerov I brought back from Viet Nam. For rifles it would have to be one of these G/K 43s. For Full Autos it would have to be one of these MP 43/MP 44/StG 44s. Actualy my shooter is the MP 43 at the bottom.
Of course then I should also list my favorite among my civilian gunz which would be the Win 92 and Colt single action - all 4 gunz in this photo are 38/40, my favorite caliber!

Rule Change
I've seen some of the finest weapons I've ever seen in this thread, and I'm amazed what's shown up so far from members.
I know it's difficult (impossible) to pick out 'just one' and a couple of people posted 'family photos' that completely astounded me! :bow:
Please keep this thread going, and feel free to post photos of your entire collection or your favorite groups of rifles.
(Old photo's you've posted before on a specific forum are welcome and wanted!)
It will be great to show off your collection, your best photos, etc, to everyone from all the different forums in one location for all of us to enjoy.
I know I've enjoyed viewing what has come in so far!

My initial interest in WWII led to an interest in that "neat little gun with the mag pouch on the stock". Then, "Wow, you can actually buy these things!" I bought the first one I found. It was in the local "trader paper". Later sold it :(, but found this one at the pawn shop. :p That first buy was 10 years ago, I was 24, and just gettin' started! :madsmile:
The Type 99 with the full mum, bi-pod, aircraft sights, its just friggin' cool! :D
And I love my Kel-tecs. The price, the weight, I have had NO problems with either. I "lose" the P-32 with the belt clip. Forget I'm even wearing it. The PF-9 is great for me. Used it taking my CWP class. Blew away a class of 15 at the range, all distances. A group of 5 friends with hopped-up 1911's could not get over my target. :lol:

Photos of our collection he sez, hmmm which part? Well since the predominance here has been GI, I'll start with that.
1. Carbines - 2 Win, 2 Inland - 1 Italian repro stock & 1 NPM. Also a 1913 US Navy.
2. Garands - all Springfield except 1 H&R and a 7.62 Nato Beretta on the right end that's not finished. I've also added 4 or 5 Garands since this photo in 02. There is also an 03 Springfield on the left end.
3. The GI Fun stuff.

Been thinking about this a while, very tough question.
Pistols:
Not too hard to make a choice, the 1924 Argentine Naval Contract Colt Gov't Model. But the purists will cringe to note that I've shot it- a lot! And it has a drop in Ambi safety because I've shot it. -A lot! (That's intentional) It still locks up like a bank vault...
Revolver:
I can't decide!!!

Semi-auto large caliber rifles:
Springfield M1a (all TRW metal otherwise) Again, its a "working" rifle.

"Modern" Rifle:
Knight's Armament SR-15 E3 IWS (whatever) fancy pants proprietary mid-length 16" carbine thing w/ TA031M150 ACOG. I must say that even as a lefty, the Ambi-controls haven't been commited to muscle memory yet. Not much hung on the rails either. It's the rifle that's with me now on my current out of town excursion, for whatever that's worth.
Bolt action rifle:
No logical reason for it, but it's the first rifle I purchased. A SMLE w/ mag cut-off and and windage adj. rear sight. Rebuilt at Enfield in the interwar period. It does still get out to the range now and again.
Sniper:
Enfield No.4 MkI trials rifle w/ unnumbered bracket but a mismatched scope. Not the most accurate rifle I own, but quite impressive workmanship throughout. (It's still the most accurate No.4 Mk.I(T) I have...)
