No, not being a bit thick at all GS. Once a rifle with BLR marks had gone into the main workshops, it would have been fully overhauled and the BLR or other markings would have been removed. It would be returned to the unit, all gauged up and in perfect mechanical condition. The only thing that might not have been done at a Field workshop would have been the phosphate and painting. That was usually the preserve of a Command or Base workshop. Has that cleared things up a bit?
