Hi Gil, did you, please, recieved any more info from Wayne Taiwan about No.32 Scope? I was writing them and still have no answer. I am interested in whole set or even the scope with mount. Went through all the blind spots as ITAR from Numrich, etc...
Or do you have another source for No 32 with shipping to EU?
Were you interested in only an rep? I have an original one, I'll probably be selling soon, if your interested.
Chuck
I know its an old thread but If anyone is interested I have a few on the way, although the outside of the tin will be in Land rover Bronze Green as per the original.
I,ll be listing them on that auction site, but if any Milsurp member is interested then PM me, I will have 8 tins left plus will come with a leather lens cover (they are not the best repro item the lens cover but will protect the lens)
I,m not expecting any purists to be knocking on my door, but if your looking to protect your expensive No32 scope then let me know.
Savlis,
Apologies, I must have missed your original request.
I have not dealt with the chap in Taiwan but knew of his existance copying No 4 ancillaries for those who wanted exactly that,.... a copy to protect their scope. He does other stuff to, but wouldn't want to give an opinion on his number 32 scope copies until I had seen one, perhaps someone else has bought one from him and can relay.
I'm afraid its not my bag using less than the real thing. My advice would be, save up and buy the real deal if you want to keep things authentic.
I got one of these repro cans, and it certainly looks good.
But I couldn't screw the No 32 scope onto it because
(a) the distance between the rear screw socket and the front spigot was about 2mm off
(b) the threads in the rear screw socket were not the correct pitch.
A bit of bending sorted out (a) and Roger Payne v kindly lent me a tap to fix (b).
Thanks for the info Rob, I,ll give them a tweak before painting and drill out the front screw hole as per original cans and send a tap down the rear if needed.
I don't suppose the Taiwanese guy has ever held a 32 scope in his hands to ensure it fits home. He is probably going by a drawing someone sent him done by hand!

Tins arrived and they are excellent, on the ones I,ve opened didn't need any tweaking, the threads are correct and bracket fits the spigot like a glove.....

He's improved the interior fixtures. I bought about ten off him about ten years ago, shortly after they appeared. I removed all of the internals & replaced them with much better examples that Graham Smith made. They were great afterwards, as I've always thought that the tin itself is a nicely done copy of the originals let down by the fixtures. However, he seems to have got it right now........
Does he still put spurious military markings on them? I asked him not to on mine.
