Nice rifles. Thank you for the information A square 10. Any information is always helpful in getting to know ones rifle. I did get to shoot her this weekend and she shoots very well. Eventually I would like to get the proper sling for her, but the one cary m2a let me use actually looks good on her :) And some time in the future a "pointy bit" will be in order to dress her up. As for the M1 Garand I also got to shoot one this weekend and I have been looking at them, and will hopefully get one someday.

Very nice collection A Square! For anyone interested, My P14 shoots EXCEPTIONALLY well with my handloads, Winchester brass, 174 Gr. Hornady FMJ-BT with 40 Gr. IMR 4064. With this load, it shoots to point of aim at 100 yards using the battle sight with the rear leaf in the folded position

thanks , i actualy recently traded my remington for an 1888 mkIV martini conversion , but ill use the photo till i get around to a new one ,
oh and i wanted to add this for lisa - a few added accessories that one can pick up as they are found , the cleaning kit for the buttrap - brass would be most correct for original period of production but the bake-a-lite version would have been common in wwII use

I ordered my books today from the Skennerton web site. They also still have The Broad Arrow in stock, but not in hard cover. But at the moment you can't use their check out on the web page. But it was easy to call the gentlemen and I just mailed him the payment today. I will be very excited to get them and learn more about my Pattern 14.

Nice looking rifle.
I have a Pattern 14, and it is a neat rifle to have just for the story/history behind them.
It's a shame there isn't more attention given to the P14s. It seems there is plenty of interest out there on the #1 and #4 Enfields and the M1917, but the P14 falls through the cracks. The Skennerton book will tell you plenty, though.
I got mine at an estate auction, where it was mis-marked as a "7.07mm military rifle". I don't know if people didn't know what it really was or what, but only one other person bid on it beside me.
I'm with you on the sling- I have the "proper" one on mine, but I like the US M1 or M1907 sling better as a shooting sling.

Thank you. You are correct about it falling through the cracks. It is harder to find information on a P14 than other rifles. I am excited to learn more history on them. As for the sling, I am looking into the "proper" one. But I do like the M1 sling that is on there now.
