I kinda stumbled across this site while looking for parts for my No 5 mk 1 Enfield. Long story short, (actually bit like the rifle in that regards) The previous owner was a tad optomistic and had a scope fitted to the fifle, I am trying to return it to its original configuration with battle sights and baynotte boss. Normally I would say I was an average shot.. but this rifle is damaging my ego.
If anyone has helpful thoughts how to best acheive the restoration feel free to let me know.
Cheers folks.

Hi Guys,
I am a new member. I am also the founder of the Lee Enfield Rifle Association of South Africa, and affiliated to LERA in Britain.
I own a reasonable collection of Lee Enfield rifles, as well as a M46 Yugoslaf Mauser (Converted by IAI to 7.62x51 Nato sniper rifle) and a 7,62x54R Moison Nagant (upgraded in 1942). There is also a 577/450 Martini Henry carbine.

Hi,
I'm new to the Enfield rifle but not new to shooting. My partner knew that I always wanted a .303 so she bought me a Lithgow 1919 No 1 MKIII for my birthday. It has been sporterised and I'm in the process of getting the full wood back on her. All her numbers match so I'm lucky there. I'll start a thread so you can have a look.
Sorry for rambling, I'm just excited to find and become a member of a forum of one of the greatest military rifles ever made.
Thanks for having me  I look forward to learning and hopefull helping the members on here.

Greetings,
Found your site through a Canadian Site "Gun Nutz".
I've been shooting Swedish Mausers M96 and CG80's for a while now.
So far, found some very interesting info on this site.

Hi everyone. I am yet another CGN'er who has come over here to focus on the milsurp side of things. After a decade in the reserves and a couple of years in university studying history, being interested in milsurps only seems natural. Right now I have a LE No5 MkI, and a ShtLE No3 MkI, but I have been harbouring an unhealthy fascination with Ross Rifles for years. Anyhow, glad to be aboard.

Hi all,
I just wanted to introduce myself. I am new to collecting and ran across milsurps.com while surfing the Internet...I quickly reached the maximum of posts I could view without registering so here I am. I am principally interested in mosin-nagant rifles (I have 2 so far...and a 3rd to come soon, I hope), but I also have an M48 Yugo and various and sundry other guns which, alas, are "modern." I live in Texas, am lucky to be able to shoot at a range that doesn't apply magnets to the ammo I bring with me, and sure have been enjoying learning about and shooting milsurp rifles.
I look forward to reading all the fine stuff already posted and hope to talk more later.
Regards,
Tomm
