Hello everyone. New member here from Southern California. I'm a huge military history nut my whole life. Retired Air Force (1987-2007). Still work for the Air Force in civil service. Used to shoot a lot as a kid growing up and shot just about everything from Black Powder Colt Walkers to of course M16s. Still have my first rifle (Browning BL-22) my dad bought for me back when I was about 10 years old.
Now I'm looking to buy two rifles I've always wanted and never got around to it.
M1 Garand
1903 Springfield
I'm here to read as much as possible on these rifles.
New to this site. Looks like lots of info available. Have a lot of reading ahead it looks like. From what I've seen so far apprears to be friendly people here.
Hi All!
New member since August, I live in SE Minnesota along the Mississippi River.
US Navy 1961-1964, Law Enforcement 1968-1998.
I started collecting M1 Garand's for me three kids after I retired and I also enjoy researching the M1 Garand.
I also enjoy shooting and collecting black powder weapons, and in the old days I did some competition black powder shooting.
I believe the Milsurps site is great!! There is a wealth of experience and knowlege with the members!
Newish member, first post. M1 Carbine and M-14 owner. Aspiring Garand owner.
