Hello all,
My name is Todd Koonce, and for the time being, I am the new guy around these parts. I am a full-time gunsmith and an avid collector and shooter. I am a member of many of the forums, because I enjoy sharing ideas with like-minded individuals, and these places provide information that you just cannot find anywhere else.
Most of the firearms I am interested in, and work on in my shop are on the more modern or more common side of things, but I was recently bit by the SMLE bug. In my searches for information and in conversation with a member of my hometown forum, I was pointed here. I look forward to meeting and conversing with you all, thank you in advance for all of your answers to my future questions. I will do my best to help out when I can too.
-Todd
Hello all,
I worked in the Design and Development Department at RSAF Enfield from 1969 to the closure in 1988, but in the Small Arms Ammunition section. As a rifle shooter I took a keen interest in the Lee-Enfield conversions and general weapon developments, as well as the history of the factory. Still pursue this, although I don't do much shooting nowadays. If there are matters on which I can give informed input I will be pleased to contribute.
I'm John Spence just checking in to say "hi". If I live to be 100, I'll never have enough guns!
I'm looking forward to using this site, esp about German firearms.
Best to all.
