My name is Jim born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I am married with 10 children and in my early 60s. My dad taught me to hunt from an early age, but I gave it up when I got married and had children. About 10 years ago, my son in law got my oldest son into hunting and I got back involved then as well. I own a 1964 Savage 24 Series M 22lr/20ga, a 1966 Winchester Model 77 semi auto 22lr and a 1963 Parker Hale Safari Deluxe 308 Norma which I have given to my oldest. He is kind of a gun fanatic and has purchased numerous rifles over the past 10 years.
My user is my nickname given to me by my kids over the past 10 years or so....
I live in the great State of Ohio and have been interested in firearms for most of my life. Recently, since I obtained my FFL03, my collection has been growing pretty fast....lol. Funny how that works.
I just discovered this site while trying to learn more about the Lee Enfield rifle I picked up and thought it looked like a good forum for sharing quality information.

Hello from Maine
Just bought a M1 Carbine yesterday at a gun show. Probably paid too much but I have been looking for a while and I felt good about this one. I don't know a lot about these little jewels so any info is appreciated.

Hello to all. I am a new participant but not a collector of vintage weapons. I am a trained gunsmith but work on my own equipment only. My latest project is to restore original configurations of the 1911-A1 to a realitively new Government model put together by Michigan Armament in 1967. This project is for SASS Wild Bunch competition. My Colts stay factory with internal trickery for better function. I came upon this site while looking for a lanyard as my next project is to install the loop in the main spring housing. If I win the Lotto I would love nothing better than to own a collection of original WWI and WWII weapons and memorabilia even though I will be 69 at the end of this month. God bless our founding fathers and their forsight to protect our civil rights.
