Hi all back after 40 years, into CB and whatever, ill be looking thanks.
Greetings from the central coast, Republik of Kalifornia. I'm a retired Army NCO who shot for about 15 years on Army Reserve pistol and rifle teams. My main interest now is cast bullet shooting and the most fun is shooting cast from military bolt guns. I have an '03 Springfield, a 1917 Remington, and a Longbranch MK I No.4, which pretty much comprises my military collection. I look forward to posting and reading posts on the Forums.
Hi! I am new to forum. I am interested in 30 cal carbines. Have an old surplus one that I am trying to accurize. Looking forward to learning more.
Thanks
My current effort involves a 1903 Springfield (Rock Island Arsenal)
Serial Number is a low 75,XXX (Manufacture Date of 1907)
Re-barreled in 1918 with an Avis Barrel. (Some pitting in bore, but fully functional)
I am considering restoration if I can locate a Rock Island Barrel dated between 1906 and 1909.
Anyone have any suggestions???
Thought I would join one of the best sights on the internet, I am partial to .30 calibers and love the M-14 / M1a, I even build a stock for it, you can check it out at ShortRifles.com. I needed drawing info for this rifle and found it on the web site, UuuRaah, Duke762
Hi, everyone. I just found this site today. I've been collecting various milsurps for around 10 years now. Looking forward to using this site and meeting everyone. Thanks!
Hello to everyone from eastern oklahoma...
Hi everybody. Just registered. Seems like a great forum. While im here let me start by asking if anyone knows where I can get a front sight/flash hider for a #5 jungle carbine? At a reasonable price. My daughters chipped in for me for my birthday and bought me a really nice condition carbine except that the front sight is off, and someone cut the sight protector off. I was told if I can find a replacement unit i can sweat the old one off and the new one on. Dont know how im gonna line up the front sight but....one step at a time. Appreciate any help i can get.
