The top row "S" on that one looked to me like it was leaning forward a little, not standing at attention like it should.
Ok on to number 3. #3 is also a Fake and harder to tell since it is half sanded :move eek:to hide its flaws and may be the hardest one to compare. How many can you see? Rick B

The first thing I notice is the uneven appearance of the "S", in relation to the "A", which makes it seem the "S" was more heavily sanded, along with the tops of the EMcF... Just doean't seem consistent with normal wear.
having said that, I did get, from the CMP, a GAW stock that had remnants of the EMcF stamp sanded off during a rebuild, and the GAW was stamped over it. The EMcF was faint, but still very visible as an "Ink Stamp".
But in the current situation, that's not the case, and it just looks fake, IMO.
In addition, the "c" has a curved shape to it, whereas the authentic has a straight left side on the "c".
The bottom of the "E" also looks bad...
There are more, but that's it for me...
The "c" looks too tall and skinny and the "M" too wide, and they are too close together. Looks like the rightmost letters are too far from the edge of the box.
That EMcF/GAW stock of yours sounds cool, snapper. I've been on the hunt for an EMcF myself but no luck so far. Seen plenty that I was pretty sure were fakes, and only one that I felt good about but I got outbid at the end :(
Did anyone notice the easy part?? The center of the "M" is to high on that fake.
Ok on to #4. #4 is a Fake also. The cannons are a dead give away and were used in the post above. What else do you notice? RIck B

The breech ends of the cannons are too fat. They look more like flash lights than cannons. The circle in towards the breech end of the right cannon is too large on the fake. The flame on top is also too big. In general it looks too large in comparison to the real one.
The most obvious to me is the cannons are not at 90 deg. (right angle) on the fake... Seems to me that would have been an easy fix for the faker...

#5 is really so fake, that I think if you voted this one real after I've shown many of the others then collecting can be hard and costly. Look at these cannons on this one and tell me they dont scream RUN AWAY. Rick B
