There used to be in Brentwood, Essex! 5000 plus I was told, many cased and in the mounts. They sold 'em for £5.00 each...when that was half a week's wages.:D

I don't think you'll get a mount/set of rings off the shelf for a No42/53 because the tubes are .020 or so over 1".
