As a rule of thumb, chordal rifling was described to me as '....a barrel that looks bald but isn't'. In other words, there is no defined rifling as such but you can see it there. It's like ascending a winding staircase.............. just try to explain it to someone! Difficult but NZL1A1's EMER drawing has described it.
