Warren I think I have asked in the past but never really got anyone to say one way or the other if the No32 Mk.II scopes Gunparts Corp. are selling worth the current sale price of $231.00 and even who made them . Can you please shed some light on them ?
I bought one of these several years ago from Numrich. Seemed to be well made, optics were about Weaver grade. Clicks on turrets did not line up well with markings. Never shot the rifle with the scope, so really limited on review.Quote:

Optics are superb and wish the originals had glass that good. Technology has come a long way in optics,
The movements are a not the best but I have tarted up several so they will hold zero and e repeatable.
They are a bugger to work on as they have been RTV 'd together and thank God I have the wrenches to disassemble the 32 scope.
I have even broken lens wrenches taking them apart due to the RVT.
However they can be tightened up to a decent scope and at the price you cannot lose, if even just for looks on a No.4(T)
For the money they are now selling for, they are one hell of a deal and might see about getting one or two just for parts.

As to who made them, it could be one of three or four makers but it looks like each maker only did a very small run of them.
Price being a non-factor what do you think is a better bet, the Numrich or the RSM scopes?Quote:

One model I received to tart up had the ocular lenses in a cell like the Mk.II and Mk. III scope and also had a few more refinements that the early ones which came out of China/Taiwan.
The one model I suspected was from Belarus was well made and good value for the money. Numrich had some of those at one time.
Externally they all looked similar, but after a while you start to get a feel where something was made and the scopes with the ocular cell I am sure were from Belarus.
Until I get a look at the RSM Mk. III, I'd hate to say ya or nay on them as to quality.

I'm reminded of fake Leica cameras from Belarus, one giveaway, (apart from the crude Luftwaffe markings if any) was the colour of the coating on the lenses which was far too blue and never on the originals!Quote:
