Newbie from Central WA St.
Hi there! I'm an old (>63!) geezer who's also a gunsmith. I'm coming up to speed right now on the M1A platform, but was once upon a long time ago, a member of The Canadian Army, Seaforth Highlanders, and shot with their team. Modified .303 Lee-Enfields (redone by Parker-Hale as I recall; a type 81 maybe?). The M1A is quite the intriguing platform to be sure; accurizing it makes working on a Rem 700 seem like child's play (or an AR for that matter!).
I hope to acquire, sooner or later, one of those "target-improved" .303 or .308 Lee-Enfields. I also own a Llungman AG42B, [6.5 X 55 of course..] but will likely be selling that one soon in order to acquire another M1A.
And finally, I own and shoot a C. Sharps repro, and a Winchester High-Wall, both in 45-90. Kah-BOOm (add smoke effects, coughing and waving of the hands to clear the air...)
