Hello everybody,
New on this site, interested in pistol and rifles used during the 2nd WW and the current ones now being used by the US forces. I'm a proud owner of a Firestorm M1911 clone made by Metro Arms, would like to have an M1, M14, and M4.
I find this forum full of informative info.

Intoduction
Hi All,
My name is Greg and I live in the S.E. part of Kansas. I am 55 years old and destroyed my low back in 2007, on Oct.23,2003 I was unloading a crate that was in the back of a pick up, I was on the job at my work place and me being the only male there I had to unload it my self, the crate had a fence line mower in it. I decided that I would lower it to the grong and then spin it 45 degrees and get it to the ground, when I got the crate about 2/3 the way down the bands that were holding the machine in the crate, they all broke and the mower inside the crate slammed down to the bottom :yikes: and it felt like someone ran a hot poker from my low back to my foot:eek::eek: I couldn't get in to a doctor for 2 1/2 days, this happen late Friday afternoon. To shorten the story it tore L3,L4,L5, I work every day up to Dec.18th 2007
I had my Doctor visit after work, I did loose 4 days of work have cat scans and MRI's On Dec 18th at work, around 11:00 I went to take a small bag of trash to the dumpster and my right leg went numb and I feel down:yikes: and know you know the rest.
I have been tinkering around with all kinds of fire arms since 1973, I put toghter my first AR in 1984 and put toghter several AR's off an on threw the years up to 2007. Aftr the first 6 months in bed I was about to go nuts!! I friend came over and ask me if there was anyway I could put toghter him another AR. So I found out that I could put them toghter in my bed room working on one 20 mins at a time, maybe 1-3 times a day.
So as the story goes on, that is all I do any more is work on AR's and 1911's, I have had to go out to my shop to do some work but not a lot.
I join this forum to learn more about military firearms.
Later
Greg
