I am interesred mainly in the M1 Rifle and Carbine. I recently sold my FN-49 .30 cal which was one of only 203 sniper models ever made for the Belgian Army. I am interested in reloading as close as possible to military specifications for both the .30 rifle and carbine.
I am a Michigan resident and I've been collecting Military Arms since my teens. My primary interests have been British and U.S. single-shots and bolt actions. My current interest has been U.S. Krags and some handgun shooting. A new project I've taken on is cleaning up a Berthier Model 1916 Artillery Carbine. It is the 5 shot model and was made by Est. Constinouza in 1918. There is a problem with the follower mechanism in that the lower spring with roller is not in contact with anything. I suspect it is missing a small part or plate that the lower spring (with roller) bears against. This must be held in place by the screw that holds the front of the magazine extension to the front of the trigger guard assembly. I'd appreciate any description or photo of the missing part and suggestions of where I might get a replacement. Thanks

Dave told me about this forum today at a service rifle shoot. I was having trouble with keyholing in my 310 cadet - a BSA. Was trying a new load 4.5gns Trail Boss, Federal small pistol primers 122gn .316 dia Hawkesbury River projies. Some rounds were fine - about 1 in 4 were tumbling. Any ideas please?

Just wanted to give a shout out to all of you here on the forum and give a quick intro. I'm a longtime military rifle collector, especially interested in British, American, German, and French military antiques and modern weapons circa 1860-1960. I do find that I seem to be currently focusing my collection on Martini-Henrys and Lee-Enfields, but I do appreciate a lot of the other designs as well.
I'm also an Honorably Discharged US Army Veteran (M1A1 Tanker), Microbrew Beer afficiando, Historically correct Western-traditional Swords/Bayonets collector, PS3 Silent Hill Series fanatic, and a History buff, esepeically anything to do with Ancient Egypt.

Ive had a mauser made by fn for Venezuelan army its been shot by me and a friend for many years but has been sitting around a while.well now ive been working on sporterizing it it doesnt have a matching bolt thinking about a new barrel because this whole time the barrel has had an odd defect Attachment 26108but the bore looks great any idea why it would be like this:wave:
