Interesting how she tried to stop doctors using hydroxy-chloroquine - I doubt she dreamed that up herself, so where did the idea come from?

A few pictures from when I decided to go to southern Italy and back in 4 days, only on normal roads. Almost all mountain roads. I started from home, in Pordenone, and went all the way down to Metaponto, close to Taranto.
In 4 days, 48 hours of riding, approximately 2850 km. Average speed of 59 km/h. 900 km under the rain...
Cathartic trip. All alone, no phone, no navigation system, just a map in the luggage and a list of towns and cities I wanted to get to.
I literally lost track of time...

US is on the road to open up. The President's guidelines are in three two week phases. 14 consecutive days of decline and the 1st phase of restrictions is lifted which is basically the work closures. 14 further consecutive days and more restrictions are lifted. 14 further days and we are in the new normal. Each state operates on it's own time table.

Pennsylvania's earliest date for reopen is May 1. It is a slow process. I can't remember the details but even in the third phase the elderly and at risk are expected to be isolated. Sports starts in phase 2 I believe as well as theaters and restaurants with distancing. Phase 3 bars can open with less distancing.

I see what is going on in many countries, as well as here.
In my very humble opinion, factories should be allowed to work, provided they implement certain measures. The managers will be the first ones interested in doing that the best way. It makes no sense to just seal up everything, without distinctions or flexibility. People need to be responsible and, I'm sure, the great majority would be. If not, heavy fines and further consequences.
But people are intelligent enough to be able to get a company running safely. I bet on it.
States are being too eager to block everything, also useless and plain stupid provisions are being enforced. Give people some slack, tell them what the rules are and hit hard in case of abuse.
But we are no little kids who need to be guided. In fact, the idea of being guided by the donkeys who lead our country, i.e., makes me boil over. I'm a responsible person and would rather see myself guiding the donkey, not the other way around.
We have regions here with almost no infected people, and they are sealed up just like Lombardy, which has over 50% of our sick. That is plain stupid.
I see someone in the good old US of A is starting to get vocal about these arguments.
Also here some of the regional governors are starting to tell the state that they will go their own way.
Let's see.
I'm really curious to see how all this develops.
Here, my bet is that the state will keep shouting and threatening the regions and, silently, do what they want.
