Found the forum while on another and decided to join. Finally bought a Garand after looking for the right one for years.
New here. Just started collecting, staeted with a Mosin and you know how it goes from there. I now have a severe case of Granditis! Just picked up one from CMP and already out of ammo!

Bri, simply go to their site, you'll have to Google it. Personally for the cost I would purchase original German. They seem to be about the same price. Unless your working on an M48 or an M44, Well I would go German on an M44 as well but that's simply my humble opinion. Ebay also has them at times, but once again there's very little savings. It's hard to beat an old El Paso K4 and a set of super high Leopold's and then you can take the money you save and buy another milsurp. ;)
Looking for some help and counsel on attaching the front sight to a 1903A3 Smith Corona. It was a sporter which we are putting back into orignal configuration. Have the blade, band, key and both pins. Seems that the blade pin is very difficult to drive thru the upper part of the band, thru the blade and out the other side. Could use some hints on conducting this seemingly simple task.
Also could use some counsel on easy methods of attaching band and key onto the barrel.
thanks
Pete
