Hello everyone. I am a new member.
Hi Everyone, great forum. I have been collecting a few years. My primary interests are in commonwealth and US weapons.
Hello all,
I'm a new member with the privilege of 47-yrs of MilSurp collecting. I remember and participated in the good-ole'-days of "Mail Order" guns from such greats as "Ye Old Hunter, Hy Hunter & Martin B. Retting" and receiving them by RR-Express.
My primary interest is the Enfield rifle (all models), but like all collecting, it tends to include others related to those periods of conflict.
I look forward to this Forum and contributing to it where I can.
Regards.
Hello everyone. I am new to this forum. Got my first L-E ,a No.4 Mk1, nearly
50 years ago for $10 from a pile in Korvetts on Long Island. Down to 1 now,
a No.4 Mk1 built at Fazackerly using an unfinished No. 1 Mk VI reciever. (The
magazine cutoff slot isn't cut.) I miss the mailorder dealers and the many
gunshows in the New York area. I collect facts now from the forums and reading.
New member here. have been collecting off and on for 40 years. Mostly on for last 30 years. USN (Ret.) 58-79
Hi Everyone!
Here's my first go at this forum, so, sorry if I make a mess of it.
I became interested in WW2 when I found that my dad helped build the Amazon bridge crossing over the river Rapido as shown in an amazing painting by Terrence Da Cunio, which hangs in the mess at the Royal Engineers HQ. A nice print also hangs in my office, and has inspired me to study the conflict and collect WW2 hardware. It started with a nice Mk2 Bren, and then a Thompson sub, MP40, etc etc. Handling these weapons really reaches back for me.
I became dissatisfied with deacs, seemed such a shame they would never speak again, so I joined a shooting club in Blackburn, where, last week I was handed a Longbranch Lee Enfield and invited to try a few rounds. (Blackburn was a great find, thanks Bill!). I was instantly hooked for life,
now I have to have one, or more, and find out all about them.
Don't know if that entitles me to join this forum, Regards, Hans...
Hey. I'm brand spankin new to this site- introduced to it via CGN. Always had an interest in Milsurps, and now I'm finally on my way to doing something about it! Gotta get myself Lee Enfield educated as I'm finally ready to throw down the $$$'s on a Long Branch! Cheers
gady fellas,
look forward to being involved with you all.
