Again a decrease in the number of infections, but the dead are still high. Both figures well over 500.
Now it would be the moment for some good, sincere and clear information. But that is not going to happen...
Also Europe as a big supernational organization is doing exactly nothing for a coordinated after crisis policy (or exit policy).
I’m trying to organize our technical teams for installation and maintenance works in a few European states, but no-one knows exactly if it is possible, if yes, how it has to be done, etc. Only Austria seems to authorize technicians for important industrial projects, but that’s on the paper. Next week we’ll send people over there and finally know for sure...
I hope that will work out. We all feel the need for some normality.
We are down to 10 new infections and 3 deaths nationaly think N.Z lost one yesterday however the Govt does not want to take the pedal off lest the virus gets a toe hold again so we have to stay as we are.
According to the latest the virus can live on your eyes long after you have recovered from it in your lungs so reifection is a high probability.
Our Govt is going to try and take advantage with low oil prices to bolster our stocks in reserve spending $90 Million AUD but apparently they are looking to store it in America that seems like a really awesome idea Sco Mo. Not!
Here they are changing the way they report numbers so they can get a few more high days out of this it would seem. They are opening PA up again on May 8th. Somewhat limited but the stay at home orders will end and construction can go back to work. Only state in the nation they restricted construction. Some protests going on, mostly minor stuff but a few guys went with their firearms and there was one military style vehicle that the news media latched onto and the left went crazy over the guns. And of course the counterprotests were in effect. Those that left their homes to tell the others that left their homes they shouldn't have left their homes. I don't think they get the irony.
The younger brother of NY Governor Cuomo is a CNN personality. He actually has Covid-19 and has been crying about it on CNN and in live talks with his brother during his daily briefings and telling everyone how important it is to stay at home in quarantine. Well, he left his house in NY the other day, drove an hour away to a second house, got in an argument (on video) with a neighbor who was like, "what the hell are you doing here, you're supposed to be in quarantine" and then went and did a "my first trip outside the basement since this began" video which CNN ran like it was an actual news story. Of course they didn't report the previous "escape" and trip to the other house. But other news outlets sure did.
Odd that Australia is supposed to be storing oil here, they are reporting there is no oil storage space available.
Yesterday I had customer call me....ask me some technical questions...and then asked if I had been sick?....I'm like "huh? no feel fine"....then he says he had the stomach-bug/squirts and gave it to his wife! I had been in fairly close quarters with this guy last week working on his big tractor. So guess what?....Today I have a diarrhea bug and a rumbly tummy:(
Don't feel too bad however I could 'shoot' through a screen door:thdown:
I have a feeling my covid safeness efforts have been unsatisfactory:bash:
Charlie -- My prayers and heart goes out to you and your family, any loss is tragic.
I took a week off at the beginning but Premier Ford deemed industrial construction and maintenance essential services , since then I have been doing emergency repairs for clients in the food and alcohol industry due to the requirement for industrial alcohol for sanitizers and food production I have started a large project at a local canning facility but unfortunately I don't have any employees that want to return right now and I don't blame them, two of us have wives in front line health care and the one fellows wife works in a hospital with active covid 19 cases. Hope this all ends soon!! My sympathies to all members who have sick and deceased family members!
